Setting a Goal:

First of all it is extremely important to know why you want to work at home and the second is after you realize why, it is important to set a goal for yourself. Some people will even put up a dream board and put together a mission statement. Doing this will no doubt keep you on track and focused. I believe that thoughts are things so you will want to see, taste, smell, feel and see your future in the exact way you desire it to be.

Do Your Research:

If you plan on becoming involved with an online company begin your research today. Find companies that you are interested in and do a search on Ezines or Google then read articles written about them. Find out exactly what they have to offer and you won’t fall prey to the work at home mom scams. Work at home forums are a great place to do research and interact with others looking to work at home as well. When doing my research, years ago, I looked for companies that had cutting edge product, a good track record of payments, excellent customer support and step-by-step guidance on how to be successful working at home.

Make a Choice:

There are basically two ways to go when considering working on the Internet. One is the lower paying online jobs such as online paid surveys, data entry, type at home, and telephone positions. These are great if your goal is to simply have a bit of extra cash each month. Then there are home based businesses like affiliate marketing that can be very high paying. Affiliate marketing can pay anywhere from $37.00 per sale for individual products to $1,800 per sale for bulk product lines. Having been working online for some time now, I find that it takes the same amount of work to advertise a low priced item as it does to advertise a higher ticket item. Finding a program that meets your financial goals is very important to your success.

Be Consistent:

Whatever form of advertising you decide on, whether it is eBay, forums, or article writing, it is vital to be consistent. Please don’t think that anyone can simply write one article or put together one eBay add and have thousands flock to their site to buy their products. Advertising takes a certain amount of knowledge and definitely consistency. Set your work hours, and more importantly, stick to them. You won’t fell guilty about taking time for yourself or being with your family if you set aside a certain amount of time for work each day. You will be able to enjoy yourself and feel accomplished because you know that you have gotten your work done for that day.

I would just like to conclude here that by having a clear goal, doing the research, being consistent and setting up your own hours and sticking with them you’ll start to see tremendous progress in your home based business.

I do not want to build up false hopes using hype. I am not here to sell you anything. So although the headline does sound a bit hypey (as if you’ve never heard something like this before), it is true that you can really make money online from your home office without spending a single dollar. This is not a pitch so you can safely let your guard down and absorb the information with an open mind. You can start this business while continuing your day job and when you’re confident of yourself, you can do it full time. Before I begin, I would like to make a few clarifications:
1. I am assuming that since you are reading this article, you already have a computer and an internet connection. But if you’re reading from a café and don’t own a PC, I apologize if you felt misled from the headline.
2. Your income will grow steadily, and will be a bit limiting as we will not be spending any money. You can think of investing in domains, hosting and other things once you start earning and are more confident of making profits (surpassing your costs).
3. Time and effort are two investments you certainly need to make. You also need to learn a lot of things, use your brain, etc. Work is involved so if you’re not prepared to work, this is not for you.
Having got that out of the way, let’s begin! We will first start with finding out what information is in demand (and also what information people pay for). Visit clickbank.com, go through their FAQs and then signup. There are no charges to become an affiliate. You only need to pay a one time charge of about $50 if you want to use them to sell your own products. This can be thought of later once you make sufficient dollars. Next, click on marketplace, and then click on one of the categories that you have a fair amount of knowledge (and are also passionate about). You can see the products listed in that category. You can even search through that category for keywords that you’re interested in. Make a note of some of the products that you would like to promote, create your hoplinks and store them in a text file.
Your next job is to setup a website. Since we don’t plan to spend anything now, you can visit blogspot or any other free blog hosting service and create an account. Then you begin writing and filling up pages for your blog. Write in your own words, don’t copy paste anything. Search engines love unique content and will rank you higher when the content is unique. As you’re writing, keep in mind the keywords for the websites you saw through clickbank. You can link these keywords to these sites using your affiliate link. So every time someone visits your blog, clicks on one of your affiliate links and ends up buying the product, you earn a commission!
Once you have written at least 10 pages, it’s time to take a break and get some traffic to your blog and make some $. There are several ways that you can do this for free, which I’ve mentioned in some of my other articles. You can create member pages at myspace, orkut, facebook and other social networking websites. Write a bit about you with links going to your blog. Then join relevant communities within these sites and make a few helpful replies to posts with a link to your blog in the signature. You should also visit other dedicated discussion forums in your market, following the same signature stuff. Continue doing this religiously until you make your first sale. Don’t ever spam people or networks, it will give a bad impression and it could also result in your blog getting permanently suspended. You should also using social bookmarking to have your websites ranked higher in search engines. Once you start making a few sales, you will be more encouraged to get more traffic to your website. Any why not? After all, who doesn’t like to earn commissions with minimum effort? Sometimes some merchants offer extremely high commissions, the highest being 75% at clickbank (they don’t allow more than that to their merchants). Don’t just run after money – try to promote products that seem to give more value and sound more reliable, even if the commission is less. It’s better to make a few sales with less commission than no sales at all. You can even approach the author for a free sample – you will be surprised at how many of them say yes if they see how serious you are!
You should also build a list by having an optin form on your blog. You can then build up rapo with them and send them offers. This is explained in more detail in one of my other articles. You also need to learn some HTML skills side by side. Once you get a little bored of doing the same work, stark writing again and add more pages to your blog. Once you have reached at least 25 pages, I would suggest you to sign up as a publisher for google adsense. This allows you to put some code on your pages which will automatically produce relevant ads on your site. These ads are from folks who pay for clicks at google adwords. If you have started getting good traffic to your website, some of them will also click on these ads and the revenue generated by google will be shared with you. This is called PPC (pay per click) and it is great because you get paid even if the folks who click on the ad don’t purchase at all! Be careful, however; don’t ever click on the ads yourself to make a fast buck. Google is very smart and will catch you. This can result in permanent suspension of your adsense account, forfeiting of all payments payable to you, and getting permanently barred from joining again. Please read their FAQs and TOS before you signup.
If you follow all this, you income will rise steadily. What do you do next? Simple – wash, rinse and repeat! Promote more products from other categories of clickbank, put more pages on your blog, get more traffic, and create more streams of residual income! If you want to put some money into your online business, then Pay Per Click ad campaigns are the most bang for your buck.

3.) Autoresponders

Once you have prospects visiting your site and opting in, you need to have an autoresponder in place that will send follow up emails to your prospects at times designated by you. The money is in the follow up, so if you can keep your opportunity in people’s minds on a daily basis, you will have a better chance of closing them.

4.) Mentor Or Team Dynamic

You will have a lot of ups and downs in your online marketing career. Especially when you’re just starting out. To wade through the victories and the defeats, it is to your advantage to have someone mentoring you or a group of people supporting you.

I would suggest that as you are just getting started, a mentor is probably the way to go. It is helpful to have a lot of 1 on 1 attention in the beginning. Then once you get rolling, you can survive on the support of your business team.

In closing, your dream of making money online is completely achievable. There are great rewards that come with being your own boss and working from the comfort of your own home. Although there will be challenging times, there is no better lifestyle to be had.

Anyone can make money online you don’t have to be a guru or professional internet marketer. If you are an affiliate or internet marketer there is one thing you need and that is traffic. There are so many methods to generate traffic and most of them are FREE this is the best thing about internet marketing.

Say you work full time 9 till 5 job you could spend 2 hours each day and not spend a dime on advertising. After a while you have your own residual income setup for virtually the rest of your life.

Here is the best advertising method I use and it is rather common if you haven’t heard of it you need more research or just email me and I will help you. It is Search Engine Optimization with this it helps you get ranked highly in the search engines for whatever phrase you wish. Basically you need the phrase embedded in your sites content so it is relevant then the search engines will rank you highly for that phrase, remember this is the BASICS.

The other method which you must use in order to receive traffic and rank higher in the search engines is LINKS. These are very important to rank highly, submit to directories and email websites and request for a reciprocal link. The more links you have pointing to your site the higher you will rank. When you request a link remember to write to them how it will benefit them and what a valuable resource it will be without sounding like you are trying to sell it.

One critical element to your success which doesn’t involve traffic is taking note of what works on you. Let me explain when you see an advertisement what makes you click that one over another one. Even when you receive an email what make you delete some and click on others. All these things need to be noted down so you can use what works and stop using what doesn’t work this is very critical to your success.

Finally one other issue that needs to be addressed, when getting links try to get one way links pointing in to your site this will help you rank high in google. To rank high in yahoo it doesn’t matter you can have reciprocal links or one way. This may change soon as google is planning to rank based on the one way links relevance to the content in your site, this may take a while for them to put this system in place. This means that your requests by emailing the sites will be more crucial in promoting your website than the other means.

# Step 1 #
You need to find a product to sell. The easiest and fastest way to do this when starting out is to sell someone else’s product and to become an affiliate.
There are plenty of places to source products both physical ones and digital ones. To make money online quickly however, you should be looking at selling information products that have a high prifits margin. Three places you can go to seek out instantly deliverable info products are:
* Clickbank
* Commission Junction
* Paydotcom
Make sure the affiliate program is with a good company, there is an easy sales process, the landing page of the product makes ‘you’ want to buy it, it has at least a fifty per cent payout and MOST importantly that the product is something that you have a keen interest in.
# Step 2 #
Next you should sign up for an autoresponder to handle your future mailings to the list you will be building. Go to any search engine and type “autoresponder service” and you will have some of the best right there on the first page.
The autoresponder must give you the ability to ‘broadcast’ your messages and be able to track the open rates of your emails (this should all be included in one monthly rate). After you have signed up for an autoresponder service you should write a ’solo’ advert.
Solo ads are sent out by ezine owners to their lists and you should know that this method, if done well, is the best way to get instant results and will be more cost effective than any other form of advertising. This is also a good way to cheaply test a new campaign.
What’s that you say – don’t know how to write a good ad? Always start with a good headline, talk in a conversational style, give bulleted benefits and make sure that there is a clear call to action to your autoresponder. You can get more ideas by searching for tips on “how to write solo ads”. The affiliate program you have signed up for should have some examples that you can adapt as well. Write five follow ups for your autoresponder covering:
1. Highlights of the product or service you are promoting with your affiliate link included in the call to action
2. A reminder of the affiliate product
3. Another reminder of the offer you made previously
4. A FREE bonus of an amazing ebook (can be your own or someone else’s) that can they get once they purchase through your link
5. A reminder of your FREE amazing ebook ’special bonus’ that they can claim by emailing you once they have purchased.
# Step 3 #
After you’ve written your follow up emails it’s time to seek out good places to advertise through targeted ezines. You can do a search for “ezine advertising” and you’ll get plenty to choose from. It should go without saying that you need to target your intended audience and that the ezine matches your ideal customer as closely as possible.
Take a look at the list size, how much they charge and consider signing up for their newsletter to get a feel for the quality of it. Also have a look at any back issues that they have available. It may be prudent to opt for a smaller more targeted list if you have a very specific niche.
You must track your results so you can either use the tracking code of your autoresponder, use the tracking code that might be given in your affiliate program or just sign up to different accounts to track the different ads you are running. When you track your results you are then in a position to ditch the ezine that doesn’t work for you. When you have this set up you should then book at least two or three ads if you can afford it.
# Step 4 #
Assuming that your ad has now run, it is very likely that you’ll see some commissions starting to come in from your advertising (a great feeling). If you have run more than one solo ad make sure you check where the sales came from and what ezine.
When you make a profit it is then time to reinvest it into more advertising in more ezines. It is really important to build on your success. You can also begin to think about tweaking the next ads you put out for an even higher response.
# Step 5 #
Customers from your list will now be prime for following up and selling more products to. This will be the start of your long term profits and building a large responsive list. You must make repeat sales so follow up and discuss anything that would be of interest to your own target list, perhaps offer them something for free again.
In 7 to 20 days follow up once again with more of your positive endorsements for other products that you can promote as an affiliate. Write more follow up emails with links to articles you have written that lead to your affiliate product to gain another opportunity to sell.
# Step 6 #
If your ads are doing well and you have your autoresponder loaded up with the necessary follow ups, you will be building a good quality list. It is essential that you have other good quality products to promote so you should continue to research in this area. Try to look for resale rights or even ‘private label rights’ so you could even start thinking about producing your quality information product (this is where the real profits are).
Another good way to source products is to make sure you belong to a good ezine list. You will be receiving regular news about products that the ezine owner will be trying to sell to you. I have found may good products this way.
When you have a few hundred names on your list you should definitely have your own website (if you haven’t already). Start sending out ‘broadcast’ emails to all of your list and direct them to your website so you can pre-sell your recommended product.
Keep repeating this process and you will start to make money online – a lot of money if you are persistent and follow the system and reinvest your profits.

My name is Mark Molina, Im an architect in Las Vegas, NV. I work for someone else. Its a good job with very little overtime. The owners are great and caring people. So why would I be looking for a home based business? Ill tell you why&two words&Time Freedom. Working for someone else leaves me no Time Freedom.

As I approach age 46 with 2 children, age 3 and age 7, my values have changed, I no longer want to climb that corporate ladder. Working 40-50 hours a week just isnt appealing anymore.

This brings me to my journey to find the perfect home based business. Is there really such a thing? Well, I was determined to find out. I knew people were making money online, but how were they doing it? Did they have a regular job? or was there online business there full time job? How could a husband and a father of two possibly have time to make a run of it?

My journey started about 3 years ago when I saw my first multi-level marketing presentation. I thought, boy this is it. The circles on the board made perfect sense. I bring in three, and they bring in three so on and so forth. This is going to be easy. I just have to invite all my friends and family and they will all sign up. They will see exactly what I saw. WE WILL ALL BE RICH! Where do I sign?

So I paid for my representative package and I dug in. I started inviting all my friends and family to these local meetings. They thought I was crazy. They would come just to humor me. To make a long story short, no one signed up. It went on like this for months. No signups and a garage full of products. Sound familiar?

I later found out that the top producers in the company would spend 8-10 hours a day on the phone calling leads, selling the opportunity. Who has time for this?

I had a full time job. I maybe had 2 hours a night. Needless to say multi-level marketing left a bad taste in my mouth. But I was not going to give up. For the last three years I have tried everything&mlms, network marketing, direct sales, ebay merchant, affiliate marketing, day trading stocks, you name it Ive tried it.

The common denominator of failure between all of them was lack of time to dedicate to make them work. I just didn’t have the time to put into them.

Still not giving up, I started looking for a business that had a system already in place. A business that would run on autopilot. A business that requires little time to run for someone who had a full time job, because the fact is you have to work your full time job until your can start making enough money to quit your day job. Its a catch 22. Was there really such a business out there?

I ran across several businesses that claimed to be fully automated, but when I dug deeper found that you still had to do a lot of phone work calling leads.

Just when I was about to give up on my dream of time freedom. I received an email from a friend that I respected and trusted. Oh no, here I go again. Just out of respect, I clicked on the link.

What I discovered was nothing short of a miracle. It was a system and a website so thorough, a website with no hype, no B.S. just the facts and a product that was awesome and in high demand. I found that this business truly required no selling, no telling, no cold calling, and best of all, no inviting friends and family to meetings. This was the business I had been searching for for three years.

So needless to say I jumped in with both feet. I have never been happier, and never looked back.

The sales are starting to come in and Im on target in 6 months to quit my job and create the life and lifestyle I have always dreamed of.
